OK So let's be realistic here. No D-Wade's, Chris Bosh's or Dwight Howards. I mean you can fill the starting lineup with above average players, but be reasonable at the same time.
I just want to know what types of players you guys really think Lebron needs to win with. I'm curious, because I think Lebron is extremely hard to build around, and i'm not sure of the reason why yet.

I think you could do a few things...here's my first solution.
Put Lebron at point guard..he's athletic enough to play the position and he's the primary ball handler either way. Why put a guy on the floor at point guard if he's not gonna be the facilitator?
PG: Lebron James
SG: Roger Mason Jr.
SF: Tayshaun Prince
PF: Paul Millsap
C: Kendrick Perkins
I'm not sure why I went with that supporting cast but I thought it was interesting to go this route.
I think a lot of your guys teams would lose, and you would still say he has "no talent" around him!...even though you picked it. His game is just hard to mesh with. You wanna surround him with shooters, but shooters can be one dimensional and when their game is off..the team will struggle and you saw that in the playoffs.
I really think a guy like Ben Gordon would be one of the best SG's in the league to pair with Lebron.

PG - Jason Kidd (todays version to be fair to the rules)
SG - Rip Hamilton has experience know one else in this lineup has, and can score in crafty ways.
SF - LeBron James
PF - Kevin Love he shoots a low field goal %, but he was still a rookie, hes a great passer, and can grab some boards and play D.
C - Emeka Okafor would fit great here IMO great post guy, as long as there would be a C with size on the bench.
I think this is a team that can get everything done, and Kidd would be a true PG for this team if I was coaching, LeBron doesn't get to work much magic off-ball so it would be something new to try and stop. This team would also have amazing ball movement.
But the biggest thing for LeBron would be a true Robin.

You completely contradict yourself. You say that shooters can be one dimensional and when their game is off, the team will struggle. Isn't that exactly what Gordon is? A straight up shooter that can be inconsistent? Sure, he's one of the best 3-point shooters in NBA history but he has off nights himself. The way he performed in this playoffs doesn't reflect what he does throughout an 82-game season.
And my only problem with putting Lebron at PG is defending quick point guards who can shoot the 3-point ball but there really aren't many of those. The quick players are guys like Rondo and Parker and players like that but they can't shoot from outside. Parker has a mid-range game that could keep Lebron off gaurd though. But for the most part he would disrupt 95% of PG's with his length. A few guys would give him trouble but that's why I put Kendrick Perkins on the team for help defense, he's one of the 4 or 5 best centers in the league at that.
