Pretty much, but I think it came down to Varejao and his camp knowing they wont be getting what they demand, and they were in no position to demand a thing. However, they got a good deal out of it either way..

Hes much more than 6/6.. Hes a guy who brings energy and a guy who can get inside players heads at times. His hustle and plays he makes that doesn't go onto the stat-sheet is where hes mostly valued.

Way off..
LeBron loves Andy, so getting him back was a must for this off season. LeBron is usually involved in all major moves the Cavs make. They want his opinion on this or that move before they make it in order to get his approval. Both LeBron, and owner Dan Gilbert wanted Andy back.

He'll be making somewhere around..

2009-10 - $6,300,000

2012-13 - $8,400,000
2013-14 - $9,100,000
2014-15 - $9,500,000
with $4,000,000 guaranteed for 2014-15 if he's waived before the last year starts.

^All credit goes to my boy Douglar at RCF for adjusting the numbers.
Now his last season is where he'd make the most, and the last year isn't guaranteed. Ferry isn't retarded at all, hes been making good move after good move. Though he overpaid Varejao somewhat, he brought back a guy who works very well next to LeBron and a guy who hustles on the court and has ability to get inside some players heads. Not to mention his offensive game is somewhat improving, and next to LeBron it'll only get better..

The Cavs signed Anthony Parker. A guy with some size and is capable to do things defensively that we need. Hes also a good shooter, I believe a 41 percent 3pt shooter last year in Toronto. The Cavs also got Shaq this off season, in case you didn't know.. He will be guarding Dwight Howard.
