Question, how can you say Hedo is the 2nd most if he's still making less than Gordon on the list for the same amount of years?
I know Gordon is a great clutch player, but so is Hedo. Of course the past two years he's played his best basketball and you can say its part of the system, but still.
IDK, I didnt realize Gordon's contract was like that. I thought it'd be smaller and shorter.
1. Varejao - I almost choked on what I was drinking when I saw that.
2. Gordon - Hes just a one-dimensional player, but when hes on he can score like no other.
3. Hedo - I am willing to see it through before making much judgment on him. He really does have some incredible skill.
I can kinda understand Anderson getting paid that because the Cavs honestly need him, and he's a big man... But for a Swingman with his skillset, Gordon is totally overpaid.
Varejao, easily. Even though only $42.5 Mill and 5 years are guaranteed. He'll probably be starting this season, but for the Cavaliers sake they better hope he continues to improve.

Varejao is overpaid, but the contract is worth UP TO 50 million, which I doubt he reaches that mark - or even close to it.
Andy is getting paid what I figured he would get, and that's $7 million per season. He had his best season as a Cavalier last year, and LeBron James - most importantly, wanted him re-signed.
Hedo Turkoglu is somewhat overpaid as well. I think hes beginning to be viewed as an overrated player, but I also think he'll do solid in Toronto next to Bosh. I just doubt he performs up to what Toronto is expecting. We'll see, of course.

Probably Ben Gordon, maybe Turkoglu. None of those players are outrageously overpaid, not even Varejao. By NBA standards, it's not a horrible deal. Quality big men in the NBA get paid a lot. And, even decent big men in the league get paid fairly well also. Varejao is probably worth around $5-6 million a year. Right now, if he doesn't get all the incentive money, he's getting about $7 million a year. Considering guys like Bargnani make $10 million per and Dalembert $11 million per and Bogut about $11 million a year, it's not horrible Still overpaid, but it's more reasonable than some people are making it out to be.
Gordon is overpaid because the Pistons ended up being the only bidder, but I think that was on Gordon and his agent and they didn't care if Chicago would match the offer or not. And the Pistons wanted to make sure they bid just enough so that the Bulls wouldn't match. Seems like the Pistons probably could have had Gordon at about $10 million per year, but didn't know that Gordon and his agent wouldn't even field any other offers, so I guess it's fine. Turkoglu is overpaid because of his age. I believe he'll be 35 when his contract ends, so he's overpaid. But, they had to bid higher than Portland to give themselves a chance at Hedo and if he was their target, they offered what they needed to get him.
I'd say it's either Gordon or Turkuglu depending how you look at it.

I would still say Varejao got overpaid. I mean Bargnani and Dalembert are overpaid too. Andrew Bogut has still been very good, but he's just never Ihealthy. I would say he's the best of the 4 though who deserves the contract he's getting... Skill wise. Not including injuries.
And like you said, the difference between Gordon's 11 million and 10 million is miniscule so it doesn't matter to you does it? Good point about Turkoglu though, I didn't realize he'd be that old.
lol, lebron is probably like WTF?? Get me the hell out of Cleveland
...Because Danny Ferry must be retarded if for the next 6 year they are going to be paying roughly 8 million a year(with incentives) to a player with a skill-set that matches that of a d2 college player on crutches with missing acl's....when that money could of been used at a number of other things, such as more shooters to spread the floor for lebron or another quality big man who can actually guard the Dwight Howard's of the world...not flop like a Portugese soccer player
