Clippers Sign Azubuike to Offer Sheet

The Los Angeles Clippers have been more active than any other NBA franchise this offseason, and they have yet to slow down. Aside from renouncing their rights to multiple players, signing Baron Davis, losing Elton Brand, losing Corey Maggette, and dealing for Marcus Camby, they’ve now signed Golden State Warriors free agent guard Kelenna Azubuike to an offer sheet. The deal is reportedly three years in length, worth approximately $9 million total.

Since Azubuike is a restricted free agent, Golden State will have seven days to match the offer. If they match, Azubuike will remain in Oakland through the terms of the offer sheet. Should they elect not to match, the two-year NBA veteran will be the newest member of Clipper Nation.
