Unrestricted free agent guard Sebastian Telfair has agreed to terms with the Minnesota Timberwolves to re-sign for a multi-year deal. Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.
Telfair, who was acquired by Minnesota via trade last July, appeared in 60 games for the Timberwolves last season, averaging 9.3 points and 5.9 assists per game. As a starter in 51 of those games, the New York high school legend tallied 9.3 points and 6.2 assists per contest. Additionally, Telfair put together his first NBA season in which he shot above 40% from the field (40.1%).
Perhaps the only true negative aspect of Telfair’s 2007-2008 campaign was the ankle injury he obtained in Sacramento on March 7, which would keep him sidelined for the remainder of the season.
Telfair’s services may be more heavily relied upon in 2008-2009, as guard Marko Jaric was shipped out of Minnesota last month.

[...] The result? A multi-year contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. [...]
